I just got done running today. I only set out to do a mile, but my goal was to run the whole thing. I did stretch beforehand, which was good! I decided not to bring any water with this time. I think it was a little easier because then I didn't have to worry about holding on to something. I could just concentrate on running and breathing. However, I did want just a sip of it while I was running.
I went a total of 1.28 miles today. I ran .89 miles of it though. Once I started running, I only walked one time in the middle. I walked before I started and at the end too. I found it easier today to push myself to go a little bit longer even if it was just a half a block. I do find that I have a hard time once I start running that I just want to quit right away. But after I keep going it gets a little better. I think that is a good sign at least.
I feel a little better today. No hurt muscles or back pain. I did get a small headache and I am also dripping with sweat literally. Kind of gross, I know. I did is all in 18 minutes. That is a little long for a mile but I am still a beginner who is way out of shape. I always get the thought in my head when I am running that says "What the hell are you thinking. There is no way you are a runner and can run 3 miles. How are you ever going to do a half marathon next year." I guess I will just have to prove my inner voice wrong!
You can do it! Should we get you the water fanny pack so you can bring your water along?
ReplyDeleteNo fanny packs!!! I was considering my backpack that has the water pack in it though.
