I finally got back out there!! I had this whole plan last week to go every other day, but as you can see that did not happen. Time and motivation got away from me last week and I was babysitting my cousins the entire weekend, which meant I had no time to myself to do anything. So I went out for a run yesterday. It was the first time in 6 days. I ended up only going for 1.23 miles which I only ran just over half of it. Not my best day by far.
I did go out again this morning. This was my first time going two days in a row. I think that is a huge step for me! I went for the 2.5 mile run today. I ran for a total of 1.73 miles, which the first run stretch was 1.04 miles and then a walk/run after that. It was a lot tougher today, but I pushed myself and was able to keep running.
So I have good news - I just received a full time job. Because of this I wanted to put a schedule together. I get to work from home and make my own hours though. Therefore I have decided on a plan. I want to wake up around 8am (instead of 10am), go for my run, get ready and then work. I think it will be good for me because then I can have some schedule to my life. Plus I was getting way too much sleep, so I was always tired. The first two days have been decent. However, I haven't woken up until 8:30am. But I feel much better. I think part of it is because I don't get too much sleep and the other is because of the run. I will try to keep it up and see how everything goes.
My muscles have been a little tired, but they are not too sore anymore. I had a hard time a softball last Thursday for some reason. I was running home and my legs had almost given out on me. It was kind of weird. My guess it part of the problem was do to the fact that our game didn't start until 10pm. To late for a softball game I think. I have been stretching before and after the run and I can tell how much of a difference that makes. I have a small headache today, but it is not as bad as other days. That is all I have for how I am feeling.
I got a new tank top that I love. I went to the under armor store at the Albertville Outlet Mall and got it for only $10. I love it. It is super comfy and it is looser so it doesn't make me look like a big blob like the tight shirts do. That with my capris, is a great running outfit. Next on my list is a good sports bra and tennis shoes. Yesterday I picked up new head phones. I got sport ones by Nike. I like that they go behind my head and the cord goes down your back. Plus I can wear my sunglasses!! The only problem it they kind of hurt my right ear. I am going to try them again and see if they get better. They are the best ones I have tried so far.
Cost breakdown for running items:
Capris - $20
Tank Top - $10
Head Phones - $20
That is $50 so far. Like I have said before, this can be an expensive hobby if I want it to be. So until next time!!
